Voting in our Board of Directors' election is now open from April 13 - April 20, 2026.
For the 2026 Board of Directors' election, there are two (2) vacancies and members will elect candidates to fill those two positions for three-year terms. The Call for Nominations for NBTA Credit Union are closed and the Nomination Committee received three (3) qualified nominees to fill the two positions on the Board.
Note: Election results will be announced at the AGM on April 30, 2026. You may also cast you ballot in-person at this year's AGM.
Dale is a Senior Consultant with Belair Direct and a 35-year member of NBTA Credit Union. He previously served on the Board of Directors from 2016 to 2025, including roles of the Audit, Governance, and Personnel Committees, Chair of Governance (2018-2019), and Chairman of the Board (2019-2025). With extensive private secotor experience managing over $90 million in group insurance assets, Dale brings strong financial expertise, including auditing, financial reporting, and strategic oversight. During his tenure, he helped guide the Credit Union through significant growth, surpassing $100 million in assets and achieving record profits, while navigating challenges such as the pandemic, industry changes, and interest rate fluctuations. Known for his integrity, sound judgement and strategic thinking, Dale is fully accredited through the Credit Union Directors' Association and continues to support the organization through his involvement on the Audit Committee.
Dominic Leach is a teacher with extensive board and leadership experience across multiple organizations, including serving as Chair of the NBTA/F Group Insurance Board, Fund for Children, and NB/PEI Deaf Camp, as well as national President of the Elks of Canada (2015-2017). A former member of the Fredericton Direct Charge, Dominic brings a strong background in financial planning, governance, and fiscal oversight. He is committed to member-focused decision-making, emphasizing accountability, transparency, and sound fiduciary practices. With experience in policy development and strategic leadership, he values both proven governance frameworks and the need to adapt to evolving economic and community landscapes to support long-term organizational success.
Ronna Gauthier is a retired teacher and teacher counsellor with 35 years of membership at NBTA Credit Union and is currently completing her second term as a Director. She brings six years of board experience, has completed CUDA Level A & B training, and serves as Vice Chair of both the Governance and Credit Committees. Ronna also previously serviced six years on the NBTA and NBTF Board of Directors, including time on the Executive Committee, and as Acting Past President. With a strong understanding of credit union governance and a committment to continued growth, Ronna is eager to contribute her experience as a seasoned director in a final term.

Personal Members:
Every member who is 18 years of age and over, and in good standing, is entitled to vote.*
Hold a share balance of not less than $5. The Credit Union Act 71(1) and 71(2) does not allow members to vote more than once per question or to vote by proxy.
Business or Association Members:
If a corporation or association is a member of NBTA Credit Union, the Credit Union shall recognize an individual to represent the corporation or association by resolution of the directors of the governing body of the corporation or association.
To cast you ballot, you will need your NBTA CU Member Number and your Date of Birth.
Electronic Voting:
To cast your ballot, click on the Vote Now button. Where prompted, enter your NBTA CU Member Number and Date of Birth and click to continue. Last, select your 2 preferred candidates from the list of nominees.
In-Person
You will also have the option to vote in-person at our Annual General Meeting on April 30th
The results of this year's Board of Directors' election will be announced at our AGM on April 30th.
