MemberDirect® Online Banking

Make money management easier with MemberDirect®, the innovative system that gives you 24-hour online access to your accounts.

MemberDirect® lets you handle most of your financial transactions right on your personal computer, tablet, or smartphone. Whether it’s transferring funds, paying bills or getting an itemized printout of last month’s account transactions. And that’s just the beginning.

With MemberDirect® Online Access, you can:

TeleService Telephone Banking

TeleService is a voice response system that allows members to perform specific financial transactions and account inquires on their credit union accounts via any touchtone phone, using a toll-free number. TeleService is available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Access is available throughout North America.

MemberDirect® Direct Security Alerts

Guard against online fraud.

Direct Alerts let you know when important changes have been made to your information in MemberDirect Online Banking. These alerts add additional protection allowing you to identify and report potential fraudulent activity as soon as it happens.

As digital banking usages continue to rise, staying in the know on all activities within your Online Banking account is crucial. By setting up Online Banking Alerts, you can receive automatic alerts by text or email when certain activities are recorded on your account. This will ensure you are the first to know of any suspicious activity or transactions that occur.

The following alerts are available to you as a member:

Personal Access Code Changed

New Payee Added

Online Banking Account Locked out – Incorrect PAC

Online Banking Account Locked out – Incorrect Answer to Security Question

Online Login

Interac® Online Payment Authorized

Direct Alerts can be sent as a text message to your mobile device, as an email to your email address, or both. You can review the last 30 days of alerts history in online banking. Just click on the View Alerts History link on the Message and Alerts tab. You can also manage your alerts by editing the contact information, account nicknames, or choosing different alerts to be received. You’ll find all of these functions under the Manage Alerts Contacts and Mobile Nicknames tab.

Registering for Direct Alerts is easy.

Just a few quick steps and you’re all set up. You can choose how you want to be notified and even assign which form of contact will be assigned to each alert.

  1. Log into online banking
  2. Click the “Messages and Alerts” tab on the left
  3. Choose which alerts you would like to add and whether you would like the alerts by email, text, or both (Standard text messaging/data rates from your Cell carrier would apply).
  4. We encourage members to sign up for all alerts as another line of defense against fraud.

Deposit Anywhere™

Now you can deposit cheques quickly and securely from your iPhone or Android device through our Mobile Banking App.

Here's how it works:

  1. Open the NBTA Credit Union Mobile Banking App on your Apple or Android Device. If you haven’t yet downloaded the app, see the instructions above or search NBTA Credit Union in the App Store.
  2. Click on the “Deposit” icon
  3. You will then be instructed to choose an account, and take a picture of the front and back of your cheque
  4. Click “Submit” and you’re done! The funds will be deposited into your account as soon as the cheque is cleared.

INTERAC e-Transfer

Send, receive, and request money quickly using Interac e-Transfer®. All you need is an email address or mobile phone number for the recipient you’re sending or requesting money from. Available through your online banking account or mobile app.

       **NEW- Jan 19, 2023  Interac e-Transfer® has improved!
        No delays for etransfers with maximum amount of etransfer $250
        No delays transfer for lower dollar limit with 24 hour rolling limit of $500 max amount
        Max amount per no delay transfer with behavioral history is now $3000

The maximum to send is still $3000, $10,000 in 24 hrs and $10,000 in 7 days and $20,000 in 30 days.

Send Money

Send Money to anyone with an account at a credit union or Canadian financial institution using online or mobile banking.

Request Money

Ding-Free ATMs

Download the “Ding Free” ATM Locator App to your smartphone to find out where the nearest surcharge-free ATM is located wherever you are in Canada!

Text-For-Balance Service

Did you know that your NBTA Credit Union account balances are just a text* message away? Whether you’re in line at the grocery store or on the run, you can get your balances texted* to you. To set up this service, log-in to MemberDirect online banking, click on “My Profile”, and follow the instructions on the “Mobile Banking” tab.
